Adam has already learned how to cheat at games. I pulled out the "Hi-Ho Cherry-o" game and Adam learned quickly that a "4" was the best you could spin so when it was his turn, he would place the spinner at the 4 every time and win.
When we had our roof leaking problem that somehow leaked up into Adam's room as well as sat on top of our kitchen ceiling, we had to take everything out of Adam's room so we could pull up the carpet and let it dry. When we put it all back, we decided to leave the baby gate off his door. Now, every morning around 6:15, Adam comes into our room. He says "Hi, Mommy!" and climbs up, gives me a big hug, and (usually) goes back to sleep for about an hour. This morning he came into our room with his ladybug star constellation nightlight that he always turns on before going to sleep. It was too cute! Unfortunately he needed a new diaper that he didn't want and ended waking up too much from fighting us to go back to sleep...We'll see what tomorrow morning brings!

No pants on the ground here

Nope - we wear them on our heads!
Adam has been doing FABULOUS on the potty! We did have an amusing time Sunday at Target. He was kind of dancing in the toy aisle and said he needed to use the potty. I scooped him up and got to the bathroom quick. He had to go so bad that he couldn't stand still while I was taking down his pants. Once I got him on the potty, I tried to point him down but the stream was SO strong, it started going everywhere. I had to put my hand in front of it like the potty seats do to block and try to hold him up so he wouldn't fall in...I should have taken Dave's offer to come in with us. Anyway...thank God Target usually has some good clearance clothes because I forgot to bring an extra pair of pants! When do they start learning how to stand and pee??

Geek in Training
Adam LOVES StarWars! Dave had put in on just for the spaceships but the second or third time, Adam thought the Jawas zapping R2 was pretty cool. Now we have to watch parts of it nearly every day and read the pop-up books before bed. He likes to try to sing the theme song too. SOo cute! He calls Obi Wan Kanobi "Oobi Boobi boobi". At bedtime, he likes to sing "Wheels on the Bus" and Dave added "the R2 on the bus says bleep bleep bloop"; "the Jawas on the bus say Ootini" , "the chewies say arrw", and "the Obi wans say use the force" (but he likes R2 the best).

Frustrating
The boy is frustrating!! It is so hard to get him to do anything lately.
"Come on Adam! Let's go play out in the snow!".
"NO snow!".
"OK. Mommy is going to go by herself."
"NO! Adam go snow"
"Alright, then we need to put on a pull-up"
"No pull-up! No pants!"
A half an hour later, we negotiate and get snow gear on.
We play out in the snow for a while, he loses a shoe in the snow at one point, it's kind of cold and a little rainy feeling and Adam starts holding his crotch....
"Adam? Do you have to go potty?"
"No potty!.....Yes, potty!"
"OK, then it's time to go in."
"No! Adam shovel!"
Drag him into the house (the one he didn't want to leave an hour ago) while he's screaming because I took off his shoes ("Adam do!"). Take off all his wet clothes and his now wet pull-up and told him he was stinky and needed to go take a shower (since I hadn't gotten one yet today). "NO shower". Once the water is on, he's fine and then doesn't want to get OUT of the shower...
Pick any situation - lather, rinse, repeat....
Oh - and with our weird leaking problem and his carpet damp, he gets to sleep in our room for a little while. We actually got him to sleep fairly easily tonight but I hope he stays asleep when we get in there... and not wake up at 6:30 again....

Big Boy (more potty talk)
Adam is doing SUCH a good job with the potty training. I brought out the underwear this week since I was tired of him walking around in nothing. He had one pee on the floor Wednesday. Thursday and Friday he had minor accidents (nothing on the floor). Today we actually ventured out of the house - but in a Pull-Up. When we got to Target, I asked if he needed to use the potty and he said yes! Being that he has never had to sit on a big potty (we have a potty chair he uses most, and 2 different kid potty seats), I was afraid he wouldn't want to go. The 3 of us piled into the family bathroom, I held him over the seat while Dave helped him with his pants and stuff and he actually pooped!!!! I asked him before we left if he needed to go and he said yes again...and peed in the big potty! Then a little later we went to Toys R Us and he peed there too! I was in shock! We forgot to take the Pull-Up off when we got home and despite asking him, he ended up pooping in it. But still, that was pretty impressive. Only 1 pull-up and 2 nighttime diapers in the past 3 days! We're saving money already! :)

Random videos
Dancing to "Hero" on the keyboard. He had to clear the dance floor first:
(Notice how he slows down when the music slows?)
Took a quick video of him being super good during his ultrasound
Here's him singing to Lady Gaga:
And here's him still liking his old baby swing (thanks Cammie and Joe). Guess those weight limits are just recommendations:

Last week, Adam decided to bury himself with his own toys.
He also learned how to make funny faces with Dave:
And then he decided this was a good place to get mad:

Adam Do
Everything is "Adam do!" lately. And if Adam doesn't do it, he WILL do it one way or another. Some examples: some mornings I just rip off his diaper, throw on a new one, pick him up and bring him downstairs. Sometimes towards the end of the diaper change, he'll say "Adam do" but it's done, so I just go. He will run all the way back up stairs, lye in his bed, put his pants back on (I usually leave them off in the morning), take them off, take the diaper off, and then I can put the diaper back on. He likes to push Mona out the back door since she doesn't like going out in the morning. Sometimes in the afternoon Mona will go out and Adam will get mad because he didn't get to push her. I have to make her go out again so he can push her to the door. If I feed the dogs and he is not there, he will take their dishes off the floor or cage and put them back on top of their cages, then take them down and put them back on the floor/cage. Sometimes he likes to add a little food just so he feels he did that too. The dogs were getting mighty irritated this evening because he was crying and whining the whole time and wouldn't put the food down. He just kept putting the bowls on top of the cages so I would give them to the dogs and he would pick them up again. Good times!
